Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using LingoBuddy, including our website at lingo-buddy.com and the LingoBuddy iOS app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you cannot use the service.

2. Use License

You may use LingoBuddy for personal use, including self-study and educational purposes. This license does not include:

• Reselling LingoBuddy access or content as your own service
• Modifying or copying our materials
• Reverse engineering our software
• Removing copyright or proprietary notations
• Sharing your account with others

3. User Accounts

To use LingoBuddy, you need to register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Some features of LingoBuddy require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay all fees in accordance with the pricing plan you selected, provide valid payment information, and authorize recurring charges if your plan is recurring.

iOS App Store subscriptions: Subscriptions purchased through the iOS App Store are billed and managed by Apple. Cancellations, refunds, and changes for iOS subscriptions follow Apple's policies and must be handled through your Apple account settings, not through LingoBuddy. We cannot issue refunds for purchases processed by Apple.

Website subscriptions: Subscriptions purchased through our website are processed by Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of any content you create on LingoBuddy, including the things you say during calls and any text you submit. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service, which includes:

• Processing your call audio in real time so the AI tutor can respond
• Generating and storing text summaries of your calls so the tutor remembers you across sessions
• Providing technical support when you ask for it

We do not use your content for any purpose other than running the service for you.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to LingoBuddy at any time, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms of Service.
